inflammatory axillary lymph node. details given below.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query with attached photograph showing the lump in armpit.
* As per my surgical experience, the lump is axillary lymph node enlargement secondary
to inflammation, which can be possible without redness of epidermis.
My guidelines at present
- Keep the area clean with antiseptic liquid and dry.
- Continue to take tablet ibuprofen ( 400 mg ) 3 times a day after meals preferably with
an antacid as ranitidine.
- Apply ice pack over the part 5 minutes each for 2 times a day.
- No need of antibiotics at present
- Consume balanced nutritious diet with plenty of liquids to combat the best body
response with natural immunity.
- Avoid direct or indirect pressure application over the area.
- Watch for raised body temperature if any.
* Follow up after 2 days about the progress and further plan of management.
Do feel free to discuss further regarding this.
Wish you best recovery and health.
Regards.
