I Pulled My Two Year Old From The Pool Today

Question: I pulled my two year old from the pool today he was u under for about 5-10 seconds.. he is fine all day. But I googled about secondary drowning now I am worried.. he has no symptoms yet put I see they can take up to 24-48hrs

Secondary or “delayed” drowning happens when a child inhales water into his or her lungs, causing inflammation or swelling in the lungs. Although this would be hard for you to evaluate, it is not hard for a doctor to detect. If you take your child to a doctor they can listen to his chest and get an X-Ray chest done and that will help in ruling out secondary drowning.
