I Put My Fists Onwards Towards My Chest And Push
Question: I put my fists onwards towards my chest and push to relax. I did it tonight and felt a sharp pain in the middle of my chest. Is it a muscle tear or strain?
Brief Answer:
Hello. It may be related to sternum bone ligament inflammation
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. i understand your concern. So in the middle of chest, a bone called sternum is present which is delicate. Any sort of mild inflammation of its ligaments can lead to discomfort or pain during pressing at the middle.
Sometimes a mild inflammation at the junction of ribs and sternum , otherwise known as costo-chondral junction can also leads to pain.
This is certainly not a muscle tear.
These inflammations are self limiting and should not cause any undue worry.
Hope it helps.
Feel free to ask further.
Thanks and regards
