Question: I recently developed a rash on my lip I don’t know what it is can you help?

I could have a possible reasons how I got it. It started around the 25th of sep. I ate ice cream the night before and I’m allergic so I normally get a hive or two on my lip and that happened but they weren’t huge so I thought they were going to go away. Then I always keep a baby for my friends aunt and the baby was just diagnosed with hand foot and mouth two days ago. I saw the baby when I had the now blister on my lip. Then I do have eczema but I’ve never had it on my lips.

I don’t have a fever and not in pain. I don’t have sores on my lip or in my mouth. Nor on my hands or feet. Just the lip rash

Brief Answer:
possibly it is cold sores
Detailed Answer:
thank you.
I could make out a few blisters on upper lip right side. This could be cold sores or HSV 1 infection. I suggest you to use a topical antibiotic e.g Neosporin ointment. Avoid kissing till it heals.

I’ve been using the neosporin and my topical steroid ointment. What should I wash it with? I used anti bacterial soap called dial so it won’t spread

Do cold sores itch?

I don’t believe it’s hsv 1. I don’t have a partner or partners and I don’t kiss anyone in the mouth. I never have.
Brief Answer:
Regarding lesion on lip
Detailed Answer:
Ok.
I said it could be HSV. It may not be. You can get a blood test to confirm. You may use just neosporin ointment. Can wash with soap.
