Question: I recently had a bravo 48 pH capsule test done with an endoscopy 5 days ago. Ever since that time, I feel a squeezing sensation in my esophagus when eating or drinking food.

It can be painful if I don't eat small portions of the meal at a time. Is that normal?

Brief Answer:
Yes, it's normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi Chris,

It is normal to feel discomfort after an upper endoscopy. The most important thing is that it should gradually get better.

I'd suggest you try soft foods for a few days and inform your doctor if it gets worse.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Regards
