I Recently Went To My Dr. Because Of Swollen, Sore

Question: I recently went to my Dr. because of swollen, sore and weak hands. He asked if I was having trouble with my feet, and said no. Today I noticed my feet and ankles, especially the left one are also swollen. I had labs and x-rays of my hands today, but won't know the outcome for awhile. Now I'm worried about a circulatory issue, although I've never had any in the past.

Thanks,
doctor

Brief Answer:
may need to consider a rheumatologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

You may want to consider seeing a rheumatologist- this is a doctor that deals with conditions affecting the muscles, joints and also deals with autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus etc. They also deal with some vascular/circulatory disorders such as vasculitis (inflammation/irritation of the blood vessels)

I mention this because your symptoms do not just involve one set of joints (the hands as mentioned) but now also involve the lower limbs as well.
Rheumatologist specialize in assessing these conditions.

Blood tests would be required and it is possible that you may have done some of them as part of the bloods you recently did.
Bloods such as complete blood count, ESR (checks for inflammation), autoimmune screen

Many conditions are easily detected and treated.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
