Question: I started taking finasteride 5 mg three days ago. Today I notice that the color of my ejaculate is red. Is this a normal side effect ?

So sorry to hear about this. It is not a documented side effect. Am of the thinking that this is rather a transient observation with no pathologic significance or an ongoing disease condition. I will recommend that you monitor only at this time and report progress to me. If the color fails to return to normal, I will request a semen analysis for further evaluation.
