I Stop Birth Control 10 Months Ago Now Not Having
Question: I stop birth control 10 months ago now not having period for 40 days cyle should I worry about getting birth control?
Brief Answer:
you're not covered
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
welcome to the 'Ask a Doctor' service. If you've stopped birth control 10 months ago then you're not covered now. If you would have unprotected sex, you'd run the risk of getting pregnant. If your period is late then a pregnancy test is indicated because pregnancy is possible. Since there are some mistakes in your question I'm not sure whether this was the answer you were looking for or not. If you meant to ask something else, please let me know and I'll be glad to answer.
Kind Regards!

Do you think there complication why I am having delayed period having period every 40 days. Do you think I might be still obulation. I am having sore areoles. My stomache is bloated. I took test yestday said negive my last period starting August 17th.
Brief Answer:
it's not certain...
Detailed Answer:
Sometimes a period may last that long. It's not normal particularly if you'd never used to have such long periods. Abnormal periods may occur in some women after stopping contraceptives. Ovulation may occur during a 40-day period. The only way to find out for sure is with serial ultrasound monitoring.
If your period keeps lasting that long then perhaps you should visit a gynecologist for further testing.
Kind regards!
