Blocked Eustachian tube possible.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think that this sudden onset of not hearing well from your right ear as you explained may be caused by blocked Eustachian tube.
Some mucus from the throat may be trapped in the tube which connects the throat to middle ear.
Having allergies, running nose, sinusitis , throat pain , coughing may cause mucus to be trapped in the Eustachian tube.
Blocking your nostrils and blowing air inside may open it. Also try yawning, swallowing, chewing may help.
If you have symptoms of flu or cold use common flu medications such Tylenol which contains decongestants and also take antihistamines such benadryl to relieve congestion.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
