i'm sorry. It was called' Pre Pneumonia"
Brief Answer:
iIt can be allergic, viral or bacterial infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi Leolsolar,
Thanks for the information.
The vertigo following prepneumonia (severe upper respiratory tract infections followed by involvement of lower respiratory tract &lung tissue also with possibility of developing severe infection/inflammation of lung tissue ...pneumonia.)
In such conditions the upper respiratory tract infection... can spread to nasal &sinus infection/inflammation of I ear or throat.
In your case... the internal ear(which is responsible for maintenance balance).. seems to be involved to get inflammed/ infected & cause vertigo.
*As You give history of recurrence few times before... the cause of your problem can be either allergy leading to bronchitis / recurrent viral infection ending up with secondary bacterial infection/streptococcal infection in upper respiratory tract which was not adequately treated.
*In such conditions.. your options are-
-Take rest &anti vertigo medication like Vertin/Dizziron (as per advise of an expert)till this spell of vertigo is controlled.
-To get investigated to find basic cause &get acomplete dose of cause specific medication to avoid repeat attack of vertigo in future.
*I would advise for consulting an ENT specialist for
Immediate management of vertigo as well as
prevention of future attack by treatment of ... recurrent viral infection/ allergy or bacterial infection (pin pointed by needful investigations)
I hope that answers your questions.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
