Brief Answer:
follow up with few more details.....

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through query and here is my advice.

As per your history, there can be several causes for difficulty in swallowing which should get evaluated. I think it might be due to tonsillitis due to ice skating.

Still kindly follow up with few more details,

Do you have fever, cold, sore throat, cough with phlegm?

For further assessment I would suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for detailed clinical examination. You may require antibiotics after consultation.

Till then continue saline or betadine gargles. Take steam inhalation. Take hygienic food and water.

For neck sprain, take tablet acetaminophen. Apply diclofenac gel locally. Heating pads may also help.

Hope I have answered your query....

Thank you for your response. To answer your question, no I didnt have an colds, fever or sore throat. It feels like a lump in my throat when I eat or drink or swallow. When I was ice skating I was holding my 3 year old and holding on to the side of the ring at the same time. I was bracing myself the whole time and I think I was so tense my muscles became sore. They felt like how most people feel when they go exercise after not doing it for a long time and all your muscles are sore a few days later. That is the feeling

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

As per your history, as you feel lump in throat while swallowing, I don't think that it may be due to neck sprain.

Still for further assessment, I would suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for detailed clinical examination. He may examine throat, procure relevant investigations throat swab, complete hemogram and may prescribe antibiotics SOS as per evaluation.

Along with that, kindly follow all measures as suggested earlier.

Hope I have answered your query...
