Question: I swallowed a tiny drop of water a few hours ago and now I'm having shortness of breath. I'm 22 and just got over a bout of strep.
I also keep having to clear my throat. Should I be nervous?

Detailed Answer:
Hii.

Swallowing a tiny drop of water is normal and I think you are not expressing properly. Shortness of breath due to drinking short drop of water is unusual. Relax. Drink more water and see whether you are ok or not. Check your blood pressure, sugar and thyroid function tests. Take your food properly. Contact an ENT surgeon and check your ear nose and throat. Check the above bloods. Take less spicy food, junk food. Avoid smoking and alcohol. If you are having throat irritation regularly then carry out betadine gargle twice daily.
