Hello, I started getting nervous this morning because I am bleeding a very small amount. I saw a nurse practitioner 3 days ago and I was not having abnormal discharge so she said sometimes after sex the bad smell is normal and to wait a few days to see if it clears up. It hasn’t and it got worse, and this morning I started bleeding a little. If you still think I need to do a smear, where do I get that done? Or do I go buy a kit at a pharmacy?
Brief Answer:
Do a vaginal smear and an ultrasound too.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I don't think the symptoms you are experiencing may be related to bacterial vaginosis.
Yet you may need to do a vaginal smear to check for vaginal infection. A doctor or nurse can take secretions smear.
I believe the spotting may be related to any hormone imbalance and isn't much related to infection . Also an ultrasound may be done to check for physical issues.
