I Took A 25 Milligram Trazodone Did Nothing, Can I
Yes if it is prescribed
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
First of all I like to inform you that the dose of trazodone varies from 25 mg to 200 mg and the starting dose is just 25 mg per day in otherwise healthy person. In case the low dose is ineffective the dose is increased by 25 mg every three days as deemed necessary.
In case your doctor have prescribed you to use 100 mg at a go there is no problem in using 100 mg but in case it is not prescribed for that dose range, I think it cause troublesome side effects such as excessive sedation, confusion, hypotension, urinary retention among others.
I mean to say that it is never a wise decision to use higher dose of trazodone when the lower dose remains ineffective without the supervision of your doctor.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
