it depends, please see the detailed answer below...
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...
I've gone through your query in details...
I can understand your concern...
Well, since you haven't mentioned any ongoing symptoms (eg. severe pain/swelling over the injured chest region, rapidly increasing breathing difficulties, any progressively increasing bruise or any other complaints) so in this case, it's unlikely to be causing anything critical.
Moreover, since it's been 3 days already, and if none of those above-mentioned symptoms or any other associated complaints is evident then probably this will not be causing anything critical now.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

don't worry, follow the advice, observe how you stay afterwards...
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
Well, the yellowish bruise may take a few more days (can even be 10-12days) to disappear completely. You can apply some cold compression over the area twice daily.
For the pain, just take a mild painkiller i.e. ACETAMINOPHEN (eg. Tylenol) 500mg thrice daily for next few days and observe how you stay afterwards.
Additionally, you may take some steam inhalation and practice deep breathing exercises.
With all these, you'd be getting better within a few days itself.
However, in an unlikely scenario, if the pain and the other associated symptoms don't get better despite following these, then I'd recommend a check-up by any physician along with a Chest X-ray to look into it further...

follow-up consultation...
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
Well, if your previous complaints are still persisting, along with this poking sensation, then you should get yourself evaluated by a physician as already discussed. It could also be due to some underlying musculoskeletal/lung covering(Pleura) injury.
Along with this, a Chest X-ray should be done to look into it further...
Meanwhile, please continue taking the pain-killers and steam inhalation as already advised...

Kind Regards
