Normally urine is straw yellow in colour... it may get fainter (drinking excessive water)or darker (drinking less of water or restraining urination for long time.. when it can have reddish tinge)
*Strawberry red colour to urine basically suggests-
- Food staining the urine- like beet root/black berry/rhubarb/feva beans.
-Few medicines like rifampicin,pyridium or few antibiotics & senna purgative. can stain urine strawberry coloured
-Excessive physical stress can be the cause.
-Urinary problems like infection,enlarged prostate,kidney or bladder stones ,kidney cysts or tumors(cancerous or non cancerous )can cause blood in urine to give it strawberry red stain.
*You had the urine tested ... if it shows red blood cells(RBCs), pus cells or casts in microscopic test... you should go ahead to consult a urologist for further investigations &specific treatment.
- But if the rest of urine analysis is normal... be cool... drink lot of water/check for food or medicines which could have been the cause & observe urine colour in following days.
