Question: I unknowingly had influenza A, felt lightheaded. Woke by family said fell back and hit my head on upper left side. Big bump. ER said mild concussion, my bo dropped. Four months later began vestibular therapy but not good. Eight months now, Still have heavy full head feeling and the room spins if I move head too quickly or working in tight kitchen area say. Driving possible but it is same effect. Two cat scans indicated chronic sinus condition but I have no outward symptoms. Routine activities cause need to rest so even social scene stopped. Can I try something for sinus? I have PM and those meds but nothing changed here . Neurologist seems unconcerned. F/U visit next week.Thanks

Actually symptoms you are referring seems to be related to chronic sinusitis.

Furthermore, since the Neurologist is not concerned, together with the imaging studies results, a serious neurological condition is unlikely.

Since there was no improvement in sinusitis till now, a more radical treatment should be tried.

First, antibiotics according to the cultures after secretions aspiration should be started.

If no improvement then surgical drainage mainly through endoscopy is an option for successful treatment.

Discuss with an ENT Doctor for these issues.
