Question: Hi, I used Veet hair removal last week, I got burns on my penis, I didn’t bother about it too much, but it’s one week now, it’s not healing and it itches me and is also swollen

Thanks for your query.
Noted the short history and seen the photo.
Penile skin is one of the most sensitive skin.
The skin wound looks to have a white line and swelling is also obvious.
I would advise you the following in such a situation.
Take an antihistamine like cetirizine once a day.
Take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen or Paracetamol whichever suits you in proper doses.
Oral steroids needs a valid prescription. This will also help in reducing the allergy and edema.
You may apply liquid povidone iodine only to the wound twice daily. Avoid liberal application to the whole area at the moment.
Consulting a Dermatologist may help further for proper diagnosis and have prescription based antibiotic, steroids and any other medication as may be needed for early recovery and proper healing and strength to the affected skin.
Avoid sex or masturbation.
Use loose clothes/underwear to allow aeration.

Take care and give feedback about progress and any opinion of a Doctor/Specialist and medications added on.

Edema/swelling looks reduced.
The wound looks to be covered by a scab.
It would be better to consult a Dermatologist for second opinion for having more appropriate diagnosis like to rule out lichen/pemphigous or so.

Can I apply permethrin cream directly on the wound for the scab. Also it itches so much now that I feel like scratching everything.

For Itching antihistamine like Cetirizine as told above will help - once a day.

I think you need a prescription based antibiotic and may be drainage of the pus if present.
