I Want To Ask About “systemic Inflammation” And My Options.

Question: I want to ask about “systemic inflammation” and my options. I’m 45, active, in shape, and don’t drink or smoke. I do have asthma, eosinophilic esophagitis, and practically constant sinusitis. The symptoms that trouble me most are muscle soreness and a feeling of feverishness daily for years. Is this a type of “systemic inflammation” and, if so, what are my options?

Brief Answer:
Seems more like chronic fatigue.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using "Ask a doctor" service.

I understand your concern.
Usually systemic inflammation is accompanied with a lot of conditions they show inflammation in different parts of the body like rashes, abdominal pain, mouth sores, chest pain, ect.

Also since you have asthma you would have felt better if you ever used steroids to treat it, as they are antiinflammatory medicines.

Seems more like chronic fatigue but this diagnosis can be decided only after ruling out other possible problems.

I would say consider doing a general general check up by checking all the functions of the main vital organs.
Eating healthy and being active can help a lot.
Drink plenty of water.
Take a multivitamin and a probiotic daily.

Maybe you have been doing all that, but stress can be one of its causes and it is very difficult to avoid it completely.

I hope I have answered your. Let me know if you have other questions or concerns.
