I Was Around Somebody That Found Out His Sister Tested

Close contacts of COVID19 patients need to self quarantine themselves
Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
As per WHO guidelines,Contact tracing is done for laboratory-confirmed or probable COVID-19 patients.
The one whose sister has been tested positive should be tested too.
If he is tested positive (symptomatic or asymptomatic),he should be managed as per protocol.
If he is tested negative(even if asymptomatic),he should self-quarantine himself for 14 days and be watchful for appearance of symptoms(if any).
The same rule applies to you according to his test report because you have been in contact with him.
If testing is not available, asymptomatic close contacts like you should self-quarantine and self monitor themselves for next 14 days and get medical assistance if any clinical symptoms develop.
Hope that I have answered your query.
Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
