I Was Diagnosed With A Complex Ovarian Cyst . The
Question: I was diagnosed with a complex ovarian cyst. The ultrasound report reads - Left complex ovarian cyst 2.2 x 1.5 x 2cm
Spontaneous color flow over both ovaries.
No free fluid.
Probable hemorrhagic ovarian cyst
I was sent for the ultrasound because a fibroid was found at my annual exam.
Over the past 1-2 months I have experienced several days of nausea and not feeling well.
I am 54 and had regular periods until recently, I have now missed one period.
I am concerned this cysts could be cancer because I am not feeling well.
My stomach is not bloated, but I do have a small bulge on the left side, I guess from the cyst.
My gynecologist said the cyst would likely go away on its own with no treatment. We will retest if I'm not feeling better in 2 months.
How concerned should I be about this cyst, based on the ultrasound from 1 month ago?

Since you where diagnosed with ovarian cyst complex 1 month ago and now having a bulge. nausea and not feeling well in general i would advise you to do a blood test for ca 125 which is the tumour marker for ovarian cancer.
If that blood report in increased in level then you have ovarian cancer otherwise you do not need to worry
