Brief Answer:
Vaginal secretions culture is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you should have been healed completely in a week after treatment but since you were having a severe repetitive infection it may take even longer.

I can suggest you to do a vaginal secretions culture at least ten days after being treated.
You should use loose and cotton underwear in order to eliminate friction and irritation.
Also lactobacillus suppositories can help reestablish the vaginal flora.

Hope I have answered the question.

Brief Answer:
You don't need to be over concerned.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thank you for asking again.
Doing a culture before and after treatment is the best way through diagnosis and treatment.

You should not be over concerned about mild burning and itching because it may need longer to heal.
The lactobacillus is a probiotic and you can find it as suppositories found otc .
Also you can find otc suppositories with hyaluronic acid to regenerate faster your mucosa.
You should keep yourself under observations.

Just received my urine results doctor says all normal but report says 2 ketones 6-10 WBC and squamous epithelial cells found what does this mean could it be related to burning sensation

Answered by Dr. Olgeta Xhufka (3 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Mild infection present

Detailed Answer:
Hello again, and thank you for asking again.
Your urine sample is not quite clear but a mild infection is present. Uroculture is needed to determine the kind of bacteria and antibiotic that is needed.
I also recommend you to do a vaginal smear to check for infection.
I think the burning comes from vagina not from bladder.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
No infection if uroculture is clear.

Detailed Answer:
If uroculture is clear there is not a urinary infection for sure. You are on recovery time.
There may be a vaginal infection so a vaginal smear is necessary. This may be the reason for your discomfort.
