Brief Answer:
DVT should be ruled out asap

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history and understood the concerns.
Swollen one lower limb as compared to another which makes it hard to walk and there is soreness makes me to think of the following reasons:
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
Muscle spasm.
Since DVT is potentially dangerous I would advise you the following:
Stop movement of the affected limb, give full rest.
Consult your Doctor or visit ER for clinical evaluation and urgent color doppler of both the lower limbs to know exact diagnosis so that a proper management as per the cause can be started.

I hope this answer helps you to get an earliest proper diagnosis.
Take care.
Give feedback of the clinical evaluation and Investigations.
