I Was On A Zpack For An Infection And They

Question: I was on a Zpack for an infection and they changed my medication to levofloxacin because I ended up with walking pneumonia. How long do I need to be off the zpack before taking the levofloxacin?
Brief Answer:
there is no known waiting period
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
There is a risk of a mild interaction between levofloxacin and azithromycin (z pack).
Since you are not using them simultaneously the chance of interaction is low.
In most persons, there is no significant period between discontinuation of one and starting another especially if your symptoms of chest infection are severe and require treatment.
A waiting period is not normally required when changing from one to the other
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
