I Was Recently Diagnosed With Grade 1 Endometrial Adenocarcimoa. No

Question: I was recently diagnosed with Grade 1 endometrial adenocarcimoa. No staging yet. I had a CT scan of my pelvis area which showed my endometriam was 1.5 cm thick. It also showed tiniy kidney stones. Other than that, everything looked ok, including the lymph nodes. I also had a cystocopy because I presented with blood in the urine. I've not had any vaginal bleeding, so that seems strange. I knew I had blood in my urine for quite a while. I could see it. But I assumed it was kidney stones. 2 years ago I saw a doc for blood in urine and a scan showed I had a kidney stone. I never passed it as far as I knew so I just assumed it was still in there and causing the blood. However, the recent CT scan showed that stone was gone. I must have passed it without knowing. However, tiny stones (calculi?) are there. Does it make sense that the blood in my urine is from my uterus? I am so freaked out because I waited so long, thinking the blood was a kidney stone. I am scheduled for a hysterectomy in less than a month. An opinion on this situation please!

Brief Answer:
Not likely to be related to endometrial adenocarcinoma.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

The blood in the urine that you have detected is not likely to be related to adenocarcinoma. If no stone has been detected on CT scan then this can be related to mild bladder infection or irritation.

This can also be due to the red coloration of the urine due to some medicines or food additives. You can get your urine tested and check if it actually is blood or red coloration. It is best to consult a urologist for further evaluation.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow-up queries that you may have.

Wishing you good health.

I HAVE seen a urologist. I went there first because the blood was defintely coming from my urine. No infection present. No red XXXXXXX Test came back saying Large amount of blood. Urologist t even did a cystocopy. Clean as a whistle. He then sent me to gyno oncologist who diagnosed my cancer. Are you saying it is impossible that the blood in my urine was coming from my uterus? Or just unlikely? Would that much blood have come from some tiny kidney stones?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely not impossible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The blood is urine is unlikely to be due to a uterine malignancy. A large amount of blood cannot be due to tiny kidney stones. This can be due to any bleeding disorder or medicines like aspirin or due to the malignancy.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Thanks. As I said, the only blood has been in my urine, However, I have had a clear, slippery discharge from from vagina lately. I did not think anything of it because it did not have an odor and it was not so much that it stained my underwear. Mostly, it just clung to my outer vaginal area making it wet. Can this clear discharge be a sign of the malignancy? i am trying to figure out how this snuck up on me. I don't seem to have the usual symptoms.
Also, I have been prscribed Magace to take 40 mg 4xday, but it is giving me insomnia and anxiety. Pretty bad. So I cut back to 40 mg 2xday, and I take an Atavan at night so I can sleep. My surgery is Sept 24. Will taking the Megace at this dosage make any difference in these 4 weeks before my surgery? Is the dose too low to be therapuetic? Is a Grade 1 (slow growing) cancer liekey to change much in a month?

Brief Answer:
Malignancy can be symptomless.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
The clear slippery discharge is not related to malignancy. Magace is a progesterone hormone preparation and is used to decrease the growth of endometrial cancer. Instead of reducing its dose to half, you can gradually increase the dosage to thrice a day and then four times a days over 2 weeks. It can cause insomnia and anxiety but that will gradually subside. It is best to restrict the cancer as much as you can before the surgery.
Regards.
