I Was Scratched By A Dog A Week Ago. I

Question: I was scratched by a dog a week ago. I took my first dose of anti-rabies vaccine the next day. But due to unavailability of the vaccine, I wasn't able to take my second dose. Now, 2 days have passed since I missed my second dose and I have procured anti rabies vaccine.
Since I missed my second dose and two days have passed since then, I have been recommended to start the anti-rabies vaccination (ARV) from the beginning.
Please suggest.

Brief Answer:
Yes, to restart
Detailed Answer:
HI,
Thanks for your query.
Yes, you have to restart the whole schedule again.
Any course with a dose missed without taking a minimum of 3 doses earlier is considered null and asked to restart.
Need not worry. Restart the schedule the intensity of immunization is not less than the usual schedule if you restart again now. This is because you have taken the zero dose on the next day itself.
Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
Regards,

Thank you for your reply. I have one query. If I would have continued with my previous schedule that I missed, tomorrow (Sunday) would be my third dose of anti-rabies vaccine. So, since I will be starting the vaccination all over again from tomorrow, will it clash with my previous vaccination schedule?
To make it clear, tomorrow will be my first schedule. But, it should have been my 3rd schedule (As I've mentioned earlier, I only took first dose of ARV). So, will it have any effect on my body's capabilities to produce antibody to fight the rabies virus.
Please suggest.
