Add inhaler and an antibiotic
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in Ask the Doctor
I can understand your concern
According to the history of your symptoms the steroids help relieve the wheezes and don't cause them. The fact that the fever continues even after the treatment ( I mean antibiotics) means that inflammation is persistent. The clearing the throat means that probably some allergy cause it which corelates with the wheezing too.
In conclusion of you were my patient I will give you still an antibiotic such as Azitromicini once orally for three days and an inhaler such as Albuterol puffs as needed. But however please discuss with your treating doctor for the above because he or she knows better your clinical picture.
Hope to have been helpful
Regards
Dr.Jolanda
