Brief Answer:
Risk of stuck in home kitchen trash is almost nil.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Ask A Doctor.
Thanks for posting your query.
If it is your own house kitchen trash, then there is no HIV risk unless any member in your family is HIV positive and thrown any infectious material. Otherwise if it is a common kitchen shared by many, then you may have risk. In such situation, it's better to take Post exposure prophylaxis after consulting an expert physician. Vitamins would not interfere with your risk.

Brief Answer:
Your HIV risk remains negligible.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
That is even in presence of any injury also the risk is negligible as the kitchen is used only by your family members only. As there is no member infected with HIV in your family, the stuck in your hand from kitchen trash, the risk for HIV remains negligible.
HIV cannot be viable outside the body fluids not more than few seconds, So anything came outside to the kitchen trash is unlikely to be infectious. So forget that incident and carry on your normal routine.
