Question: I went to a dermatologist about a pimple that's been there since 10 years. She said something like it's a pore that's clogged and swelled and can't do anything about it except RF treatment. Is it correct? Does RF treatment work and is it safe?

Also, she suggested a few sessions of chemical peels, co2 laser treatment and a session of subcision for acne scars healing and skin health improvement. Are they necessary/effective? Do they have any side effects?

Perhaps the pore is comedone like lesion also known as dilated pore or Winer which is a keratin filled structure usually on the head and neck. It is one of a tumor of skin appendages arising from a hair follicle. Though it is benign, RF can be used to remove it if desired. The treatment is safe.
For acne scars, Subcision, Chemical peels, Laser are standard forms of treatment depending on the type and severity of scars. They are effective. Side effects commonly include redness, bruising, photosensitivity, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation/ hypopigmentation.
