Question: I went to an immediate care approximately 2 weeks ago for a variety of symptoms. They prescribed me zofran and a anti-diarrheal medication for my stomach issues. However, for my throat pain, swollen lymph nodes, sinus pressure/pain, etc. I was provided only home remedies. My throat hurts constantly and my voice has been hoarse for over a week; There have even been times when I can hardly talk. It seems like things are just getting worse and I could really use some guidance.

Detailed Answer:
Hii. It seems that you may be having allergic pharyngitis with or without vocal cord inflammation. First thing you need to do that you should consult an Ent surgeon. You need to examine your throat, tonsils and the vocal cords also. If there is infection of the throat then you need to start an antibiotic, anti allergic tablet and betadine gargle. You can have some paracetamol tablet for throat pain. But betadine gargle is the most important thing. Try to take more fluids preferably warm. Next thing you get your vocal cords examined by endoscopy and see whether your cords are fine or not. If there is any problem with the cords then you have to treat accordingly. But for now you start with antibiotic, anti allergic tablet and betadine gargle.
