Question: I went to the urgent care last monday because i couldnt hear and i had ringing in my left ear. The doctor said i had an ear infection in the middle part of my ear. He prescribed amoxacillin and the pain is gone but the ringing hasnt decreased. When will it go away? Should i be worried since its been about a week

Hii. If it is a middle ear infection then it will take at least 2-4 week to resolve. The ringing sensation is due to the fluid or pus accumulation in the middle ear. You have to continue ciplox ear drop and oral antibiotics. If there is perforation of the Tympanic membrane along with it then it may continue for long unless it get healed. Continue any decongestant nasal drip.
