I Will Like To Know Herpes Symptoms
Herpes progenitalis is a viral disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Herpes progenitalis is a viral disease also called genital herpes.
It occurs after 2 to 3 days of contact. It is caused by Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2.
The basic symptom is the development of small blisters on genital areas and anal areas. The areas in the male may be glans penis, prepuce, the shaft of the penis, and scrotum. And the areas in females may be vulva, vaginal walls, and cervix.
The other symptom is burning pain in the vesicles. It may be mild to severe. Sometimes the patient may feel itching.
Generalized symptoms may be fever, body aches, and fatigue.
The vesicles occur in clusters and may be followed by erosions after rupturing. The lesions may occur off and on if not controlled by proper treatment. The lesions occur at the same site.
