Question: Hi. I woke up with this red itching rash on my right abdomen. I don't remember anything bitting me yesterday. Might have had a mosquito in my room last night. I applied some cream i had at home called diprogenta cream (Betamethasone, Gentamicin), but it still itching and red. Any advice?

Yes it seems like an insect bite reaction. I suggest you to continue with the steroid cream. In addition I suggest you to take an oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10mg tablet once a day for a few days.

Hi. Thank you for the answer. Apart from the steroid cream, can i use a cream that has calendula, camomile and lavender? Will it help with the itching, or will it react bad with the diprogenta cream? Thank you for your time.

I think you should just use the steroid cream , twice daily. I don't think the calendula cream would be as effective as the steroid cream. Seems like an insect bite but it could be due to a mosquito too with intense itching leading to a hive like lesion.
