Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!
I understand your concern and would explain that the main adverse effects of angisar are: diarrhea, muscle cramps, headache, nausea, stomach pain, high potassium levels, low blood pressure, dizziness and headache.
These adverse effects occur in less than 10% of the patients and usually in higher doses.
This is an ARB drug, quite similar to ACE-I. But ACE-I may cause chronic cough and allergic reactions more than ARB drugs.
There is no need to switch to another drug as long as you do not have any adverse effects related to this drug and your blood pressure is under control.
You should know that there is no best drug for high blood pressure. We choose the therapy based on the patients blood pressure values, comorbidities and tolerance (if a drug is not tolerated, we switch to another drug).
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
