Question:
I%E2%80%99m and otherwise healthy male in my 30s. i had a sexual encounter with a woman i dont know well early sunday morning. we used a condom during intercourse but did not during oral sex. as of monday evening, i noticed many (20-30) very small red bumps (size of a pinhead, maybe slightly larger) all over the pubic bone region of my torso. there were 2-3 small bumps by the base of the shaft of my penis, as well, but nothing up the shaft pr on the glans. the bumps do not itch or hurt in any way. if the bumps were there before sunday i did not notice them at all, and believe that i would have given their number at this po

in the past, i have had molloscum for approximatwly 1 year in 2014, and frequent contact dermatitis type issues, where i freaked out and thought i had an std, but my doctor told me it was dermatitis and to use antifungal creams and it went away.

my question is, what is the chance this is herpes? my female partner was pushing on my pubic bone very hard during sex - could it be dermatitis related, as it has been the case in the past?

i will go to my gp in person but it is a holiday in the states and be books a week out, im trying to get an opinion from someone online before then. thank you.

Brief Answer:
Regarding bumps on genitalia

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

Protected sex is largely safe but there is still a risk of genital herpes, genital warts, genital molluscum, however, it is unlikely that these would present on the day of infection unless of course, you already had them in your system. Oral sex too can lead to transmission of HSV type 1 from oral to genital skin. Apart from that oral sec is largely safe. I request you to kindly upload images of the affected area in "Reports Section" so that I am able to have a look and guide you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Brief Answer:
Regarding rash on the pubic region

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I've seen it,

This could be the onset of an episode of genital herpes but I can't make out any erosions or vesicles as yet which are typical of it. Perhaps you could just observe it over 2-4 days and get back to me with images of any change...

Tale care.
