Question: I%E2%80%99ve written befor about this issue. I am 50. I had two periods in April with spotting in between. Then I had a 23 day cycle the next month. I had a TVU the day before the second period in April. Lining was 11. Everything else normal. This month I%E2%80%99m at 27 days, tomorrow will make it 28 days which is a normal cycle for me, if I get my period. The fact that I haven%E2%80%99t had irregular bleeding this month, does that mean there is not a need for further testing like biopsy etc.? Does it lean more toward hormal change related to peri? I also had a lot of stress in April with panic attacks due to an event. I continued with panic after irregular bleeding as it could have been indicative of a serious issue. Thank you.
Brief Answer:
It is quite common
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Irregular periods are quite common towards the end of menstrual life. You seem to be nearing your menopause and it can happen.
As the ultrasound does not show anything abnormal, there is nothing much to worry.
If you experience similar symptoms again, you can opt a repeat ultrasound and endometrial sampling( biopsy) for reassurance.
As of now, no definite treatment is required.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
