i am suffering from migrane headaches from past few years it comes occasionally and goes away causes severe headache on one part of the head(left side) some time both the sides is there any permanent cure ?
There are medications for preventing migraines
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The first step would be to confirm that these are migraines. Migraines typically affect one side of the head, last for hours to days, can cause nausea and vomiting, bright lights and loud sounds make it worse, and often have a vision disturbance before it starts. If you have had these headaches for a long time, they have many of these features, and you have been told that you have migraine headaches, then you can confident that is what they are.
There are acute treatments for headaches, which include triptan medications such as sumatriptan. But for patients with frequent migraine headaches, there are also medications that can be used to prevent migraines. There are many options for this, including blood pressure medications like beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers, antidepressants such as amitriptyline, anti-seizure medications such as topiramate, and others.
Hopefully one of these medications will work well for you so that you have few or hopefully no migraines while on it, and then over time perhaps you can stop the medication and continue to not have migraines afterwards.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions about that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
