Brief Answer:
No, it is not worth it, nor recommended.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I would not recommend that you remove your tonsils just to prevent getting Mononucleosis. In my opinion, it is not worth it, but also it is not one of the recommendations for tonsil removal.

Mononucleosis you can have even without symptoms. Even if you have it with some symptoms usually they are not severe and go away by themselves within one month.

But even if you remove your tonsils for other reasons, you still can get mono.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
