If Ocular Rosacea Is Treated There Ar No Need Of Eye Surgery Is It So ?

Question: Hello
I have question about - Ocular Rosacea, as it is important to think positive all time
1. As i understand most case ar mild as it is said 50 % of Rosacea have some eye manifestations,
Approximately 5% of patients with rosacea manifest corneal disease, which can rarely be severe and lead to blindness via corneal ulceration, perforation, secondary infections, or corneal opacification from complete vascularization.

2.as i understand most case ar mild - and how are they treated wit oral antibiotics or without ?
As i they are treated without antibiotics - as i understand
When treating ocular rosacea, a stepwise approach can be undertaken, using first lid hygiene and artificial tears, followed by topical and oral anti-inflammatory medications, with late surgical intervention as required
Patients with ocular rosacea who are asymptomatic and without worsening eye disease should not be placed on oral antibiotics.

3. Oral antibiotics are needed in case of corneal disease where it is most sever ?
And they can be used in low dose in long term - as i undestad from literature low dose of Tetracyclines is safe renal Fancomi syndrome is very rare -
4. I regular treatment and follow up to doctor Ocular Rosacea can be effective treated and avoid any eye problems and lost of vision
Is it so ? An if Ocular Rosacea is treated there ar no need of eye surgery is it so ?
Thank you very much

Brief Answer:
Please dont worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
It is very rare for the eye to get involved so we hope for the best . Even if it gets its usually an inflammatory conditions so we give topical steroids and some antibiotics ( topical again) for the treatment . Oral antibiotics dont have that much role to play . And yes regular check ups with eye specialist is a big plus . Please do continue that. Hope it helps.
Thanks.
