If Your Uvula Is Touching Your Tongue After The Swelling
Question: If your uvula is touching your tongue after the swelling has went down due to a viral infection, Will it go back to normal size?
If so, how long will it take?
Background:
I woke up with a swollen unvila, contacted a doctor who thought it was viral but still prescribed antibotics and a steriod to reduce the swelling. Since then, the swelling has gone down but my uvula is long and constantly sits on the back of my tongue. Its been about a week since I woke up with a swollen uvula.
Is there any treatment to address this issue?
Will it go back to normal size?
If so, how long will it take?
Is surgery required?
