I’m 24 Year Old Who Is Dealing With Pins And

Question: I’m 24 year old who is dealing with pins and needles and numbness in my face I would assume it’s ms but usually ms attacks on side of the body while all these symptoms are going on and I’m experiencing symptoms everywhere is it possible that I may have a rear case of vitamin B 12 deficiency
Brief Answer:
Anxiety can be a cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The most common cause tingling and pins and needle sensation over the face will be anxiety.
Multiple sclerosis can cause similar symptoms but you will have other symptoms like loss of sensation and blurred vision.
Peripheral neuropathy is a another possibility but it is unlikely at your age.
Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. Relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation can help a bit.
As of now you can take over the counter available vitaminB complex and wait for couple of weeks to check whether the symptoms improves or not.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks

Doctor is it possible to have multiple sclerosis and not have one side of your body under attack because I don’t deal with that now .. I haven’t went back to the doctor to get diagnosed and I’ve only had these symptoms for two months so maybe it’s way too early for my body to react but that’s why I asked is it possible that at 24 I could possibly have b12 deficiency .. because the first time I ever started feeling like something was wrong with my body I was dealing with acids reflux everytime I would breathe it would feel right and painful and I had lots of random gasses .. fast for award a year and a half latter I’m getting more pins and needles then anything else throughout my body and only numbness once every two weeks I suppose
Brief Answer:
MS is very unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your symptoms do not fit into multiple sclerosis. The symptoms will progress in the case of MS and other neurological problems will be there. You can opt for an MRI scan to look for any features suggestive of MS for reassurance.
Please try to avoid unwanted anxiety.
You can take over the counter available antacids like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole for acid reflux and it is not related to MS also.
Thanks

Is electrical feelings from the chest down to the legs a symptom because I’ve been experiencing that as well actually before the pins and needles
Brief Answer:
Given.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is somewhat similar to Lhermitte sign seen in multiple sclerosis.
However we can not make a diagnosis of MS solely based on this symptom. You need additional symptoms and imaging findings in MRI and spinal tap findings.
You can plan for an MRI scan to look for any features suggestive of MS.
Thanks
