Brief Answer:
About weight loss;
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone carefully through your concern.
When the blood glucose is too high, it causes weight loss that usually is improved after starting treatment. If not, first you need to be sure that the blood glucose is not still high with metformin (usual metformin is recommended in people overweight, so probably is not the right treatment for you).
So, check the blood glucose before and after meals and do not hesitate to report it.
Secondly, if the blood sugar is normal, thyroid function should be checked as an overactive thyroid may cause weight loss too.
Inform me about blood sugar than I can suggest you further.
Thanks.
