Brief Answer:
Metformin will be a better choice.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Both metformin and sulphonyureas are effective for controlling blood sugar, However metformin is a better choice for people above the age of sixty because of it improve the general health of heart.
Metformin as such does not cure erectile dysfunction but newer research suggests that metformin help in treatment for men with erection problems success rate is better in patients who are on metformin. You might require drugs like sildenafil for ED after consulting a urologist.
