I'm 65 Years Old, Using Coversyl 5mg To Control BP
Question: I'm 65 years old, using Coversyl 5mg to control BP since 10 years ago and experience erectile dysfunction (ED). Recently, I have been diagnosed Pre-Diabetic. Now, I have option to use either Metformin or Sulfonylurea medicine. Which one is better to use regarding ED and to enhance erection, please advise.

Both metformin and sulphonyureas are effective for controlling blood sugar, However metformin is a better choice for people above the age of sixty because of it improve the general health of heart.
Metformin as such does not cure erectile dysfunction but newer research suggests that metformin help in treatment for men with erection problems success rate is better in patients who are on metformin. You might require drugs like sildenafil for ED after consulting a urologist.
