I'm A 22-year-old Male. My Voice Is CONSTANTLY Cracking Whenever

Question: I'm a 22-year-old male. My voice is CONSTANTLY cracking whenever I speak. It cracks so frequently I can actually crack my voice at will. This is really hard for me to deal with as my job involves public speaking. I'm speaking and then all of a sudden my voice just squeaks. It happens more frequently the lower I speak, but happens fairly regularly at all registers and tones. Any advice?
Brief Answer:
Hii. Please consult an Ent surgeon. Get a laryngoscopy or Stroboscope done
Detailed Answer:
Hii. Please consult an Ent surgeon. Get a laryngoscopy or Stroboscope done. These are endoscopy of the larynx by which you can see the inside of the larynx and assess the proper function of the cords. If possible get a proper voice evaluation by voice expert. This cracks in the voice is due to lesions in the vocal cords. So please get properly examined and treated. In the meantime get proper voice rest and voice therapy. Drink more fluids. Avoid spicy food, excessive tea, coffee.

Hello,
Thank you for this. I think you have got the diagnosis correct. What are the cures for vocal cord lesions? Can I remedy this issue without surgery? My voice has been cracking for around 5 weeks now.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
The exact diagnosis can only be done by an Ent surgeon after seeing the lar
Detailed Answer:
The exact diagnosis can only be done by an Ent surgeon after seeing the laryngoscopic finding. It cannot be done without seeing it. So you consult an Ent surgeon. If it is a small benign lesion then it may be cured with voice therapy depending on severity of lesion. If it is large or not benign then some procedures may be needed.
