I'm A 27 Year Old Woman, And I've Been Having
Question: I'm a 27 year old woman, and I've been having pretty bad hip pain in my right side for about 3 weeks. It's worse at night (or if I've been sitting in certain positions or lying down for too long). The worst pain is on my side where I lay down, it hurts when I push on that area. Sometimes the pain radiates around to the front. My right hip hurts when I'm laying on my left side, too, although putting a pillow between my legs helps a little but then aches down my whole leg some. Aleve helps a little, but not a lot. I've been trying to do light exercises and stretches the past 2 weeks but there's been no improvement, and it might be worse than it was 3 weeks ago. I'm having trouble sleeping sometimes because of the pain. It's pretty much impossible to see a non-emergency doctor at this point. I'm not sure what I should do?

No numbness, I've only tried aleve (as stated in the patient profile), I'm a veterinary assistant so some days are hard on my back but no history of back injury, and my menstrual cycle has been very normal and has never caused hip pain before.
Brief Answer:
Needs examination

Hi,
Thanks for the information.
Based on the description of the pain you have and considering your age, the most probable possibility I think of is a Musculoskeletal pain. To be more specific it could probably be Sacroilitis or Sciatica. Both have almost similar pain presentation and relieving factors.
This needs hands-on examination by an orthopeadician to ascertain the diagnosis.
Meanwhile, you can take pain killers like Aleve in combination with antacids for a few days.
Hope, I answered your query.
Please do ask if any doubts.
Regards,
