I’m A 68yr Old Female. I Spoke To My Dr

Question: I’m a 68yr old female. I spoke to my dr about having difficulty getting a urinary flow, particularly at night. Ultimately of course, I do. The dr then spoke about my vagina and prescribed Vagifem pessaries. I am not at all happy about this. I went through menopause 20 yrs ago with no problem. What’s this about? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Urinary tract infection may be there .

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your health concerns.

A urinary tract infection is a common cause of frequent urination. This happens when bacteria enter the bladder through the urethra.
Other cause can be Bladder stones, infections that cause swelling or irritation, nerve problems that interfere with signals between the brain and the bladder,
So I suggest you to consult urologist for relevant investigations and treatment. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

I hope this answers your query.
