Detailed Answer:
Hi Ralphsemperfi,
There is nothing to be ashamed of, it sounds like either a perianal abscess or a thrombosed external hemorrhoid. It would help if you could send a photo of it.
Does it hurt? Any fever? Tendency for constipation? Known hemorrhoids? Previous colonoscopy?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Brief Answer:
It is probably a hemorrhoid
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
It sounds llike a hemorrhoid. If it doesn't get better you should see your own doctor for a rectal examination. You must try to keep your stools soft with lots of fibre and fluid intake.
Let me know if you have further questions.
