Coughing up traces of blood is generally harmless and may be due to minor inflammation and mucosal reaction in the throat and sinuses.
Do you have any other symptoms like long lasting cough? what is your age? are you a chronic smoker? Any sinus related issues or throat irritation?

I’ve never smoked once, I’m 23. It’s not a chronic cough just happens once in a while, it’s phlegmy, sometime it’s clear with streaks of blood, other times it’s pretty bloody. But I can’t say it’s lots it’s just some. This started yesterday and noticed it a couple times today. I got my self going on lung cancer. I don’t have throat irritation but my throat feels like there is phlem in it.

Hi,
It can be minor pharyngitis or sinus inflammation.
It is not a sign of lung cancer and lung cancer is extremely rare at this age.
As of now do warm saline gargles.
