Brief Answer:
stool test advisable...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I assume you were alright a week ago and the diarrhea started 7 days ago. I would like to know if you have had abdominal cramps along with diarrhea? Are you running fever?
And do you have nausea / vomiting too.

Usually acute diarrhea is a self resolving condition and the cause is a virus. Recovery period may be prolonged. Occasionally however when the cause is a bacteria or parasite it needs antibiotic / antiamoebic medications. A stool test is a reliable diagnostic test; therefore i will suggest you get it done.

In the meanwhile, stay hydrated. Start probiotic agents. Continue with low spicy bland diet. Further treatment will be based on stool test result.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications

Regards
