Im Having Some Persistent Muscle Fasciculations Around My Body
Question: I am a 36 year old male.
Around 10 years ago, I had an EMG performed because I was having some persistent muscle fasciculations around my body. The test result was normal, and I was given a diagnosis of benign fasciculation syndrome. Some time has gone by, and I believe the issue resolved or settled down.
Now, in the past 48 hours, I have had repeated fasciculations of my right bicep when my arm is at rest. Not all the time, but repeatedly in that location—near the inner elbow. I have not noticed any muscular weakness or wasting.
I currently take a PPI and an H2 blocker for GERD. I also recently (within the past week) was prescribed 50 mg trazodone for sleep.
I am concerned about ALS.

Brief Answer:
Trazodone is not the culprit.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read your question.
Trazodone does not cause muscles fasciculations as adverse effect, so, it is not the culprit.
In my opinion, it is again Benign Fasciculations Syndrome that is causing these muscles twitching.
No need to do anything for now, just observation.
If any progression of symptoms then you should see your Neurologist.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
